Preventing professional burnout with the FIPU

Prévenir l'usure professionnelle avec le FIPU

An order published in the Official Journal on December 26, 2025, confirmed a €200 million allocation for 2026, paid by the AT-MP branch of the general social security scheme. The Social Security circular of January 26, 2026 (which cancels and replaces that of 2024) specifies the guidelines: it prioritizes direct financial aid to businesses, without sector-specific prioritization this year.

The FIPU still concerns 3 risk factors described as "ergonomic": – Manual handling of loads – Awkward postures (defined as forced joint positions) – Mechanical vibrations

What changes in 2026: The minimum subsidy amount is lowered from €1,000 to €500, making projects eligible from €715 excl. VAT investment. However, companies that have received more than €300,000 in public aid over the past three rolling years are now excluded from the scheme. Finally, applications must relate to equipment delivered or services rendered during the 2026 calendar year and be submitted before December 31, 2026.

Any company covered by the general scheme, as well as self-employed workers who have subscribed to voluntary accident insurance, can submit their application from their AT-MP account on net-entreprises.fr.

Coverage reaches 70% of the excl. VAT investment, up to a limit of €25,000 per type of subsidy (cumulative cap of €75,000 for companies with fewer than 200 employees). Companies belonging to a sector that has concluded an agreement benefit from an increased rate of up to 85%; the list of these sectors was updated by the Ministry of Labor in January 2026.

Within the framework of the FIPU, subsidies can contribute to the financing of: – awareness-raising actions – equipment, diagnostics, or training – workstation adaptations – personnel costs dedicated to implementing actions financed by the fund

Good news for equipment projects: the fund remains largely underutilized (barely 31% of the budget used in 2024) and 70% of the envelope is earmarked for companies with fewer than 49 employees. Exoskeletons can be used in this context, particularly for workstation adaptation or a musculoskeletal disorder action plan: we invite you to have the eligibility of your project validated by your regional fund (CARSAT, CRAMIF, or CGSS).

As a company committed to combating professional wear and tear, EXOSAFE welcomes this initiative and is at your disposal to help you successfully carry out your project to improve working conditions.
